Police arrested the man for DWI-Leandra’s Law on Sunday, Aug. 4 at 7:55 P.M. in Valley Stream, according to police.

Officers responded to King Kullen parking lot located at 231 West Merrick Road for an auto accident where they reportedly discovered Christian Moliere, 36, of Cambria Heights in Queens sitting in a black Lexus GS300 which had been in a collision, said Nassau County Police.

The officers investigated and allegedly determined his breath smelled of alcohol, and he had slurred speech and glassy eyes, said police.

Moliere was arrested without incident, according to police.

An adult male and his 12-year-old nephew were reportedly also in the car, said police.

The nephew released into the custody of his mother. No injuries were reported, said police.

Christian Moliere is charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated (child under 16- Leandra’s Law),  endangering the welfare of a child, driving while intoxicated and numerous vehicle traffic law infractions. 

He will be arraigned on Monday, Aug. 5 at First District Court in Hempstead.
